Arsenal teams excelling in State Cup!

Arsenal Colorado has had a strong showing in State Cup and has six teams in the quarterfinals this Sunday. Our U14 Boys Gold team is on track to defend their back-to-back State Cup Titles. Their opponent is yet to be determined for this Sunday. Our U16 Boys Gold team is facing off against Boulder County Force and our U17 Boys Gold and U18 Boys Gold are slated to play Storm Copa and Pride Copa, respectively. We also have three teams on the girls side advancing. Our U13 Girls Gold team will be playing Pride Predators. Both our U12 Girls Gold and Royal teams have advanced to the quarterfinals, playing against each other! What an exciting game to come watch. Please come support our teams in their quest to be named State Cup Champions.
Our President's Cup teams had their quarterfinal games this last weekend. Our U14 Boys Royal team fell a bit short losing to Storm North 1-0. Our U16 Boy Royal team advanced to the semi-finals in a thrilling 3-2 overtime win. Arsenal was up 1-0 throughout most of the game and then conceded a goal late sending it to overtime. In the second overtime, Storm Black scored on a penalty kick, tying the game at 2-2. What looked like a game that was headed into penalty kicks, Arsenal scored with three minutes left, winning 3-2. They are in the semifinals this weekend playing against Vail Valley. Come support our teams this weekend! Check the CYS website for the schedules.
