player development league (PDL) training
The Player Development League is designed to give players a more consistent level of play and coaching within the recreational division. Players do not have to participate in the PDL to move on to competitive soccer the following year. Players are exposed to 8 weeks of additional staff-run training in conjunction with their own training. Sessions are designed to be high-paced and intense as to mimic a typical training session they may see at the next level. Topics covered are ball handling (dribbling for possession and penetration), passing and receiving (both flighted and driven balls), shooting and finishing, as well as introductory attacking and defending tactics.

PDL GOALKEEPING training
All players who are registered in the PDL and who are interested in learning more about the goalkeeping position are invited to participate in the Goalkeeping Academy. Four sessions are scheduled each season, typically running bi-monthly (check the website for dates and times). A qualified staff coach will run the Academy sessions along with assistants. Players are reminded to wear appropriate gear (gloves) and long sleeved shirt or jersey and bring a ball.
